EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - October 21, 2003 - igus® Inc. today announced it now offers igubal® plastic clip-type and double spherical bearings. Igubal is a complete system of oil-free, self-aligning bearing products including spherical, pillow block, and rod end bearings. Self-aligning bearings are easy to install, adapt to angular deviations and replace special housings in many cases.
New igubal clips are ideal for installation in sheet metal applications, especially in office equipment. Sheet metal often encounters misalignment problems because it is imprecisely formed. The spherical design of igubal clips eliminates any misalignment issues. They are simple to install and the thin-wall design requires minimal space as well as no additional axial fastener.
Igubal double spherical bearings have a unique design with one end rotated 90 degrees. Small and lightweight, they can be installed single handedly and are available in custom dimensions with and without a pin. Igubal double spherical bearings are well-suited for the automotive, packaging and medical industries.
