NAC Unveils Next Generation Plasma Cutting System For Structural Steel

NAC, a division of New Automation Corporation is proud to unveil its next generation plasma cutting equipment for structural steel.

The PentARC-5 Axis Plasma Cutting System, as displayed at the recent Fabtech 2001 show, is designed to process beams, channels, angles and other structural steel sections. In addition to cutting holes, slots and custom shapes on all faces of structural steel sections, the machine is capable of miter cuts and copes. The PentARC Plasma Cutting System can also cut the structural steel section to length. The machine incorporates a downdraft-cutting table, connected to a local dust collector for fume and dust collection.

The system is built with an infeed conveyor, complete with a servo-driven measuring cart for accurate and repeatable positioning. Other accessories that could be integrated with
the plasma system include an outfeed conveyor, and cross transfers for load/unload operations.

Located in Burlington, Ontario, NAC designs and manufactures advanced fabrication equipment for the Metal Building and Secondary Steel industries.
