Pipe Lasers fit inside 4 in. pipe and small inverts.

Press Release Summary:

Built with solid cast-aluminum housings, Piper 100 and 200 are aimed at contractors who need to lay storm, sanitary sewer, or gravity flow pipe. Units display grade, line position, battery status, and level indication. They self-level over full grade range, eliminating need to tip laser for steep slopes. Automatic grade compensation identifies and corrects grade errors, while Alignmaster function searches and finds target for second-day setups.

Leica Geosystems Introduces New Pipe Laser

The New Leica Piper Fits Inside Four-Inch (100 mm) Pipe and Small Inverts

Leica Geosystems introduces the Piper 100 and 200 pipe lasers designed to fit inside even the smallest inverts. The Leica Piper series lasers are built with solid cast-aluminum housings and are loaded with features that will improve productivity and minimize downtime on the jobsite.

"Our customers told us they wanted a pipe laser that was accurate, reliable and has a super bright visible beam," said Dan Dykhuis, product marketing director for Leica Geosystem's construction segment. "The Piper is compact, rugged and designed to withstand the toughest jobsite conditions."

"Contractors will really benefit for the Piper's compact size," added Dykhuis. "It easily sets up in small inverts, and it is the only pipe laser available that fits inside a four-inch (100 mm) pipe."

The Piper is aimed at contractors who need to lay storm, sanitary sewer or gravity flow pipe. It is ideal anywhere line and grade is required. It has a large clear display that makes it easier for contractors to read grade, line position, battery status and level indication. The intelligent battery monitors the amount of charge/discharge so that contractors always know how much battery life they have left. The Piper's bright, visible beam is focused to maintain its crisp, clear spot and size over long distances.

The Piper has a lot of great features that make pipe laying easier. Automatic grade compensation easily identifies and corrects grade errors. It automatically self-levels over a full grade range and eliminates the need to tip the laser for steep slopes. The Piper 200 features the Alignmaster function, a patented automatic targeting system that searches and finds the target for fast second-day setups.

The Piper recommended package includes the Piper, carrying case, remote control, target, lithium-ion battery pack and charger assembly. Additional optional accessories include sets of feet that center the Piper in different pipe diameters; a scope and mount kit for above-ground setups and a heavy-duty trivet that features a wide, stable base with a graduated pole to easily adjust and set the elevation.
