Photovac Introduces New 2020PRO(TM) Photoionization Monitor

Waltham, Mass. - Photovac, Inc., the premier provider of hand-held and portable instruments for detection and measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOC), introduces its new 2020PRO(TM) Photoionization Monitor, a portable and ergonomically designed instrument provides users with onsite, rapid VOC detection in air, water and soil.

The compact 2020PRO(TM) weighs just 1.75 lbs. (0.8 kg) and is ideal for a wide range of applications, including OSHA compliance, confined space pre-entry, emergency response, site characterization, fugitive emissions and law enforcement. The instrument is classified as intrinsically safe in North America and Europe for use in potentially explosive environments.

Photovac's 2020PRO(TM) features a new larger graphical display so data can be easily read, as well as larger keys for easier menu access when wearing triple-layer gloves. Outfitted with a new, dedicated calibration key, the 2020PRO(TM) allows immediate access to the calibration procedure with more prompts to easily walk users through the calibration process.

The instrument is also outfitted with three modes of operation to suit all needs, including: Non-logging Mode for continuous readings for surveying and site-checking; Tag Mode for data logged by tag name or number (ideal for EPA Method 21); and Interval Mode, which logs at pre-set intervals as well as displaying the TWA, STEL, PEAK and current readings at all times.

The 2020PRO(TM) allows for samples to be analyzed directly from the field or source. The detector is also humidity-compensated, so one can rely on accurate results under any conditions. An expanded internal datalogging feature allows the operator to record thousands of sampling points that can be downloaded to a computer using the new 2020PRO(TM) Chart software.
