Portable Instrument Offers Extreme Accuracy at Affordable Prices
Waltham, Mass. - Photovac, Inc., the premier provider of hand-held and portable instruments for detection and measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), announces the addition of the 2020gasPRO(TM) to its comprehensive assortment of detection instruments. An extremely accurate yet affordable option, the 2020gasPRO joins the already well-known 2020PROPlus(TM) and 2020ppbPRO(TM) to round out a complete offering of Photoionization Detectors (PIDs).
The 2020gasPRO utilizes pre-filter tubes designed specially by Drager Safety AG & Company to operate as a single gas detection instrument. The pre-filter tubes are currently able to detect the presence of benzene and are an ideal solution for the hydrocarbon processing industry. Additionally, the creation of several more pre-filter tubes is anticipated, each aimed at detecting specific single gases to address the needs of a variety of markets.
The pre-filter tube holder, designed by Photovac's engineering staff, can be used on all of Photovac's instruments and allows for single gas detection with the 2020gasPRO and optional single gas detection with the 2020ppbPRO. Additionally, the holder can utilize carry activated charcoal tubes used to provide more accurate "clean air" calibration as well as humidity reduction tubes, which allow the original 2020PROPlus to operate better in even the most extreme humid environments.
