Photoelectric Frame Sensors come in aluminum housing.

Press Release Summary:

Series FRS and OFB offer sensing areas of 64 x 70 mm through 200 x 250 mm. They allow non-contact detection of parts as small as 1.5 mm in diameter passing through sensing area at speeds up to 15 m/sec. FRS Series incorporates microprocessor to allow insertion of transparent tube through sensing area to guide difficult to handle parts. Sensors are offered with digital outputs NPN or PNP, or with 0-5 Vdc analog output. Power requirements are 12-30 Vdc.

Photo Electric Frame Sensor in Rugged Aluminum Industrial Housing

Cleveland, OH-February 27th, 2003- EMX Industries Inc is proud to introduce the new FRS and OFB series of frame sensors that offer sensing areas of 64 x 70mm thru 200 x 250mm. These sensors allow non contact detection of parts as small as 1.5mm in diameter passing through the sensing area at speeds up to 15 meters per second. The FRS series incorporates a microprocessor to allow insertion of a transparent tube through the sensing area to guide difficult to handle parts. There are over 20 models to choose from with digital outputs NPN, PNP or with a 0 to 5 VDC analog output. Power requirements are 12 to 30 VDC. NPN and PNP units are available with normally open or normally closed connection. Sensitivity and timer adjustments are conveniently located. Applications include counting parts and detecting a stamped or molded part which has exited the die. The analog units have and edge guide for materials used in strip processing. EMX Industries, Inc. was established in 1987 with the primary goal of supplying the gate, overhead door and parking industries with innovative sensors and controls. Today EMX employees are dedicated to designing and manufacturing EMX products. EMX products are used in great spectrum of applications and in many industries. They help companies in access control, security, fence, gate and door operator and parking markets. In industrial automation and process control EMX sensors are used in automotive, packaging, labeling, metal stamping, paper and wood processing, plastics, electronics and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Their contract manufacturing division specializes in radiation measurement and medical imaging industries. EMX uses in-house manufacturing capabilities to assemble and test all of their products. EMX has a fully automated surface mount assembly line capable of placing over 20,000 parts per hour.
