Personal Expands Its Hipuu! WiMAX Network with Redline's RedMAX Systems

Redline's products deliver high capacity and rapid return on investment, enabling Personal to accelerate the expansion of its commercial WiMAX services
TORONTO and PARAGUAY - Redline Communications Inc., a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that Personal, a leading Paraguayan mobile and WiMAX carrier and subsidiary of Telecom
Argentina, will initiate its aggressive network expansion following the
successful first phase of its Hipuu! WiMAX service network rollout. Personal
will install additional RedMAX products to expand its network to reach 10,000
subscribers in 2007.
Redline's WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) products were selected for the Hipuu! network expansion following Personal's comprehensive competitive review process. The expansion of the network in Asuncisn and Great Asuncisn will result in one of the world's largest and highest-density WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) networks to date.

In the first phase of its Hipuu! WiMAX network installation, Personal established a significant industry benchmark, with the deployment of highest-capacity WiMAX Forum Certified base station, which currently supports more than 250 users per sector controller. This high-density network was enabled by the ease of installation of the RedMAX products, as well as the network manageability and provisioning supported by the Redline Management Suite.

The second phase of the Personal WiMAX network is being deployed by a collaborative team that includes Personal, Brightstar, a Redline Value Added Distributor and world leading wireless distribution and supply chain solutions provider, Softnet Logicalis, Redline's Silver Certified Partner, to integrate the RedMAX products into the existing Cisco network.
The Redline Ecosystem Verification ('REV') Program
The REV program verifies connectivity and performance between Redline's RedMAX and RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products and other WiMAX devices, enabling carriers to accelerate the deployment of interoperable networks. The program also includes Redline's RedCONNEX family, which is used by carriers around the world to support high-bandwidth voice, video and data services. Several WiMAX equipment companies including base station, customer premise equipment and chip manufacturers, as well as WiMAX peripherals vendors, are now taking part in the REV program.
Redline's RedMAX(TM) Family
Redline's RedMAX family of WiMAX solutions includes the world's first complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) mark for conformance to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. Redline's carrier-class RedMAX Base Station (AN-100U) supports voice, video, and prioritized data traffic, enabling long-range, high-capacity wireless broadband networks. Redline's WiMAX products also include the RedMAX Indoor Subscriber Unit (SU-I) and Outdoor Subscriber Unit (SU-O) designed for
enterprise and residential services. The RedMAX Management Suite enables operators to monitor and control the network, ensuring high service availability. Redline is maintaining its WiMAX leadership with the expansion of its RedMAX family to include products for additional frequency bands, applications and standards.
RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX Platform
The RedMAX 4C is the latest addition to Redline's family of WiMAX products. Operating in the 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz spectrum bands, RedMAX 4C is designed to conform to the requirements for 802.16e Certification Wave 2, which is the WiMAX Forum's official certification program for Mobile WiMAX.
Supporting a high concentration of subscribers, it enables operators to realize a rapid return on their WiMAX investment. The RedMAX 4C includes a modular, standardized (micro)TCA (micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture) chassis base station that is small, lightweight and easy to deploy, and a suite of indoor and outdoor fixed and portable end-user devices including laptops, mobile handsets and PDAs.
