Permabond Sealant Approved for Use in Oxygen Delivery Systems

SOMERSET, NJ -Permabond® Engineering Adhesives MH052 has BAM approval for use with gaseous oxygen up to 10 bar (145 psi) and 60°C (140°F). Standard anaerobic sealants cannot be used for oxygen-rich systems due to instability, which could cause fire or explosions. MH052 is a unique formulation which is stable in oxygen rich environments providing a safe means to seal threaded joints in gaseous oxygen systems up to 10 bar (145 psi) and 60°C (140°F).

Typical applications for MH052 pipe sealant include sealing oxygen pipelines in hospitals, breathing apparatus, aircraft oxygen systems and more. MH052 is also suitable for other gases and liquids and has excellent chemical resistance.
Permabond MH052 offers the user many additional benefits such as vibration-proof sealing and no cracking, creep or shrinking of cured adhesive. This particle free formula means there is nothing in the product that can clog valves. Packaged for ease of use, it is suitable for shop, jobsite or production floor. Once cured, piping assembled with MH052 can be easily dismantled with normal tools for repairs, maintenance or system upgrades. Additional approvals include DVGW (gas and water) and WRAS (drinking water approval).
