The device’s degree of protection (IP68) means it can handle dust, dirt, sand, and water. It can withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters, and its MIL-STD 810H certification makes it reliable in extreme altitudes, humidity, and other severe environmental conditions.

The Ex-Cover 6 Pro D2 features a side key that can be used for push-to-talk integrations with many push-to-talk platforms enabling the phone to perform like a land mobile radio. The side key could also be used with other communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams. The Ex-Cover 6 Pro D2 comes as an unlocked device. The US version is compatible with T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon and also supports B48 for use in Private networks using CBRS. The Canadian version is compatible with Rogers, Bell, and TELUS in Canada.
