Original Press Release:

Flexible, Lean Cell Pedestal-Style Welder

The Taylor-Winfield Corporation has introduced their new INV pedestal-style welder designed for use as a free-standing machine or to be incorporated into automated welding cells. There are two basic sizes, both having a compact design requiring substantially less floor space than conventional welders with comparable capacity. Both are designed with a patented fast follow-up device, which not only makes them suitable for spot welding but especially effective when welding parts with projections.

The INV can be supplied with up to a 5" cylinder that produces approximately 1,600 pounds of weld force, or a 2" cylinder that produces just 60 pounds of force. There is no measurable deflection throughout the full range of weld force. The INV can be furnished with AC transformers ranging in size from 7-1/2 to 50 KVA or DC inverter power supplies up to 140 KVA. The welder has an 8" throat depth that can be supplied with either horns for spot welding or "T" slotted platens for mounting tooling.

The INV is also available in a bench model.
