New Wire Termination Solutions for the Building Automation Industry

Harrisburg, PA - Phoenix Contact introduces Combicon Compact, a new family of value-priced printed circuit board terminal blocks. The family includes space saving screw and spring technologies, in 5.0 and 3.5 mm pin spacing. Mounting options include horizontal and vertical one piece or pin-strip pluggable PCB mounting. Combicon Compact is designed for Building Automation applications, specifically security & alarm, fire protection equipment, access control, lighting, HVAC and elevator controls.

o The new PT series is a modular, wire protector style screw terminal block that features generous wire entry, and utilizes a practical "combination +/-" screw head. The pluggable version mates both vertically and horizontally, and also has an optional PCB coding feature.

o The new CPT 1 series is a spring technology alternative to screw terminal blocks, designed to reduce installation costs. With two termination points per circuit, the CPT can accommodate #20-16 AWG solid or stranded wires.

o The new PTSA spring force terminal block has been designed for lighting ballast applications. With an easy to use push button spring actuator, this terminal block quickly terminates up to 16 AWG wires. Offered in 2-24 positions on 3.5 mm pin spacing, the PTSA terminal block is UL/cUL recognized for 2A 300V.
