Arista Adds New Line of Panel PCs to Growing Product Portfolio


Panel PC Is Ideal For Medical, Point-of-Sale and Industrial Automation Applications

FREMONT, Calif., - Dec. 17, 2002 - Arista Corporation, a leading industrial PC solutions provider and system integrator, today announced the ARP-1715 Panel PC. Designed as a fully functional, compact industrial computer, the panel PC supports an Intel® Pentium® III or Celeron processor for reliable and high-powered performance to tackle the most intensive applications.

Ideal for custom kiosks or industrial automation applications, the ARP-1715 Series, is a modular, PC-based computer ideal for applications when space is critical. The Panel PC features a 15-inch color TFT LCD display with 1024 x 768 resolution and comes equipped with an ELO AccuTouch Touchscreen, placing the power of the PC at the user's fingertips.

The Panel PC is equipped with a 2.5" hard disk drive, supports up to 512MB of memory, contains a slim CD-ROM and FDD and an integrated 10/100 Base-T Ethernet controller for network access. In addition, the ARP-1715 contains dual USB ports, various I/O ports making it easy to add peripheral devices and one 1394 FireWire port for industrial applications.

The ARP-1715 display can be detached from the main computer housing, allowing for easy maintenance and the ability to upgrade the unit quickly. The waterproof front panel is NEMA 4/12 and IP65 compliant and is equipped with sealed, protective aluminum front bezels, and heavy-duty steel chassis, which meets the toughest industrial and environmental standards. The Panel PC can be mounted on a wall to seal out the environment, desk or a swivel arm mount, whatever the installation requires.
