Panasonic to Launch Award-Winning Office-Automation Products at GITEX 2006

The new electronic whiteboard and printer products combine improved functionality and design to redefine traditional technologies

18th November 2006

Panasonic, the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics, has announced that it will exhibit its award-winning range of newly-released electronic whiteboards and multi-functional C3-line products at GITEX 2006. The market-leading company will display the UB-2315C Panaboard and the 'Workio' DP-C354 full colour MFP during the Middle East's largest IT exhibition at stand D3-10, hall 3.

"Our goal is to infuse the new lines with improved usability, performance, security and productivity features while retaining and enhancing all the qualities the Panasonic brand is famous for. Our new range of Panaboards immeasurably outperforms the traditional concept, with enhanced functionality and connectivity features that ensure their requirement at corporate meetings. Similarly, by providing enhanced technology features to the DP-C354 - such as induction-heated quick-start technology and our onboard image quality control, Panasonic engineers have created improved productivity elements," said Hiroshi Maruyama, Product Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.

The UB-2315C double-sided electronic whiteboard is specifically designed for full-colour scanning and PC-free document creation and data storage. The whiteboard utilises 'runner-scanning' technology to allow for the capture of both material written on the board and printed material, which can then be stored on a USB flash memory or printed in high-quality colour or black-and-white production.

With a high-resolution colour LCD preview screen, twin flip panels, onboard SD and USB card storage options and enamel-coated stainless steel construction, the new Panaboard applies technologies that reduce the productivity-limiting ties of previous whiteboards.

The new C3-line MFP possesses enhanced network printing, faxing and scanning functions, using a combination of automatic picture image control (APIC), colour-double exposure and colour-digital SkyShot technologies to create high-quality products and SD Card compatibility.

Additional enhancements include a 7.8-inch VGA colour touch screen, extensive built-in security features, seamless network server integration and improved mechanical and electronic accessibility features for handicapped operators.

"We believe that an equal focus on speed, design, functionality and overall performance are the crucial elements in creating market-leading products. GITEX is an important gateway to the Middle East market and therefore we look forward to exhibiting our new range of products to our valuable contacts in the region," Maruyama concluded.
