Packing pattern assistance device added to BEUMER paletpac®:
Minimum changeover time with control supplement
Beckum / Melbourne, 1 May 2007. For the many different needs of major industrial sectors BEUMER supplies the most advanced bag palletizing technology with the BEUMER paletpac®. System solutions for the most various capacity segments ensure high stacking quality, high reliability and economic advantages. Now with its packing pattern assistance device the BEUMER Group has developed a control accessory that allows for faster fully automatic changeover for shifting bag sizes.
The packing pattern assistance device supports the operator in adjusting the BEUMER paletpac® to a new product. On the basis of full bag dimensions and the height of the layers the assistance device independently calculates the appropriate packing pattern. With it, retrofitting of the BEUMER paletpac® when switching products or packing patterns is considerably speeded up since the assistance device independently falls back on a large number of filed packing patterns. After confirmation by the operator the system stores the new input under a batch number that is still available. By doing that, the assistance device prevents old settings from being overwritten. All components in the palletizer depending on bag size as well as the positioning plates and the bag flatening belt then adjust thanks to the practical control accessory. The operator also achieves a significant reduction in changeover time with the practical copying function of the packing pattern assistant. With its information on new products can be checked against already available bag sizes. The data already stored are copied to a new batch number and set up for the product.
The innovative control accessory to the high-capacity palletizer BEUMER paletpac® ensures minimum changeover time and thus higher throughput capacity with frequent product switches.
