Non-Slide Overhead Crane Stops

Aldon Company introduces a new style of crane stop for use where conventional crane stop attaching plates interfere with rail hook bolts. The new Non-Slide stops feature dogs which clamp the upright wedge to the rail. The dogs barely drop beneath the head of the rail, for maximum clearance. On impact, the new stops should not slide at all or minimally. The upright wedge is available in either straight-edged style for bumper contact, as shown here, or available in curved form to accept a particular crane wheel diameter. These new stops are designed for cranes travelling at normal operating speed. They should not be used at the end of crane runs, but used instead to separate one crane from another.
