The OLV-8/12 family of outdoor accent and pathway lighting provides crisp, functional up or downlighting with a full beam cutoff that minimizes wasted light and eliminates glare.
OLV is ideal for use along pathways, on university grounds, outdoor malls and building complexes, at building entryways and the like in a range of corporate, institutional and light industrial environs.
Production Description:
OLV-8/12 luminaires are characterized by a stylish, wedge-shaped housing design that can be mounted flush to outdoor wall surfaces, to provide directed up or downlighting. Upper edges of the fixture are subtly rounded for a smooth, architectural appearance while discouraging accumulation of dust and debris.
A thermal- and shock-resistant tempered glass lens is completely sealed and gasketed, secured to the housing by the lens frame. Beveled edges on the lens frame ensure that rain water is channeled away from the fixture when mounted in the uplight position.
Reflector choices include adjustable asymmetric forward throw, symmetric forward throw, narrow spot or symmetric spread lighting distribution, with high uniformity and a sharp beam cutoff angle. Light stays where it is wanted. Illumination is provided by a choice of metal halide, high-pressure sodium or compact fluorescent lamps.
Construction & Finishes:
OLV-8/12 housings are constructed of durable die-cast aluminum alloy with a chip- and fade-resistant black polyester powder-coat finish. The thermal- and shock-resistant glass lens is available clear or prismatic, with an extruded silicone gasket sealing it to the housing, secured via a tamper-resistant
frame. Computer-enhanced spectral metal reflectors are electro-
brightened, anodized and sealed aluminum for maximum reflectance.
Prior to application of electrostatically applied powder-coat finish, all OLV-8/12 components endure a five-step pretreatment process, including an iron phosphate priming stage, for superior coating adhesion and maximum corrosion resistance for the life of the fixture. OLV-8/12 fixtures are UL and CUL listed for wet-location use and meet or exceed all ASTM requirements, including those for 1 ,000-hour salt-spray endurance testing.
