Honeywell Introduces Optical Keyless Sensor For Automotive Passive Entry Systems



FREEPORT, Ill., June 11, 2004 - Honeywell [NYSE: HON] Sensing and Control has developed a versatile passive keyless sensor in a robust, rugged and compact package for integration into automobile manufacturer's passive keyless entry systems. The Honeywell Optical solution offers a unique combination of fast response time, low power consumption, and adaptable placement that makes this keyless sensor very cost effective reducing overall system costs. It allows for an easy, hands-free keyless entry into the vehicle with no searching for a key fob providing instantaneous detection when the driver reaches for the door handle.
