Hoffman Updates Operator Interface Enclosures

New CONCEPT® Enclosures ideal for flat screen devices

ANOKA, MN - Feb. 9, 2006 - To address the aesthetic, ergonomic and functional demands of modern manufacturing, Hoffman introduces the newly redesigned CONCEPT® Operator Interface Enclosure series. Twenty standard enclosures designed for pendant or pedestal mounted controls deliver functional and attractive integration of new generation flat screen OI devices including touch screens and LCD monitors, as well as pushbuttons and other traditional control schemes.

"Feature-rich CONCEPT Enclosures were developed as an ergonomic response to newer monitors and display technology," said Mark Saunders, Hoffman Product Manager. "These enclosures reflect the requirements of flat screens, providing more sizes and options for the profusion of computer-driven controls."

A single part number orders a complete enclosure including a 14-gauge steel body with quarter-turn latching back door, a blank aluminum front plate for easy customization, and aluminum "comfort grip" handle extrusions that extend the height of the enclosure. Adding modern aesthetics and improving operator comfort, these extrusions are available in a choice of standard accent colors including blue, red, purple and turquoise, as well as a standard RAL 9005 black polyester powder finish.

Other options include an attached clipboard/whiteboard, a drive access door and keyboard tray, and accessory handles. CONCEPT OI Enclosures can also be easily modified with over 100 finish colors and textures, holes and cutouts, and a complete line of accessories.
