Version 4.0 of the Enermetrix Energy Operating System

ATLANTA, June 24, 2002 - Enermetrix, a subsidiary of CES International and operator of the Enermetrix Network, announced the release of a new operating system today that connects buyers, sellers and consumers of energy more efficiently then ever before.

The Enermetrix Network is a real-time, electronic marketplace in which utilities, traders and marketers, service companies, and commercial and industrial users buy and sell natural gas and electricity.

Version 4.0 of the Enermetrix Energy Operating System (EOS) (tm)
greatly increases user efficiency through comprehensive data-
warehousing capabilities, expanded search and filter capabilities, and greater automation of routine functions. EOS also has been upgraded to handle the realities of today's retail energy transactions including increased functionality for electricity transactions and expanded deal structure options.

"With improvements to the seller, buyer and customer-facing
applications, Version 4.0 is a major step forward in retail energy procurement," said Mike Pollitt, general manager of Enermetrix. "We will continually seek ways to improve how our customers interact with one another in order to maintain Enermetrix's position as the world's leading retail energy exchange."

With EOS 4.0, users can capture and store customer information that can be used to create better, more price-transparent energy contracting products. Buyers of energy can use the information to ask for products and prices more closely aligned with their needs. Energy suppliers can use data to offer a wider variety of products at more aggressive prices to a larger number of customers. Increased automation functionality allows both buyers and sellers of energy to lower internal operating costs through greater efficiency.

EOS Version 4.0 was put into production for energy suppliers in April with the first buyer application migrating shortly thereafter. Enermetrix technology continues to lead the way forward in deregulating energy markets with tools like automated credit scoring, pre-configured deal structure templates, customer aggregation tools and enhanced data security technology.

Enermetrix conducted its first Web-enabled energy contract on the
Enermetrix Network in 1998. Since that time the company has executed more than 10,000 transactions using browser-based technology. The total value of these transactions, which have occurred throughout the United States, exceeds $1 billion.

Enermetrix is a wholly owned subsidiary of CES International and is headquartered in Atlanta. Enermetrix provides software and services to automate retail energy transactions and operates the Enermetrix Network, the world's leading retail energy exchange transacting over $650 million in retail energy volume in 2001.
