Open Source Storage's OSFiler Chosen for NAB HD Pavilion Live HD Broadcast Station

New High Performance Browser-Based Storage Appliance Economically Delivers File-Based NAS and Block-Based SAN in Single Device
LITTLETON, CO - NAB 2006 (April 24, 2006) - Open Source Storage (OSS), a network solutions provider for both fixed content and rich media applications, announced today, that the new OSFiler NAS/SAN storage appliance was chosen by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) to be a part of this year's NAB-HD Pavilion, booth #C11537 at NAB 2006. Each year, the NAB-HD Pavilion demonstrates a fully functional local DTV station, including all the technical, operational and management elements required to broadcast DTV signals in both SD and HD. The OSFiler was chosen to represent to station engineers, the future of broadcast storage solutions.

Providing station engineers with an economical, single unified interface for the creation and allocation of stored content, the OSFiler can be configured with 3, 6, 8, 12 or 24TB capacity. Offering support for all major operating systems including: Windows, Unix/Linux and Mac environments, the Asaca OSFiler allows customers to access the entire library via NFS or SMB CIFS, a simple drive share or UNC (universal naming convention) path.
NAB-HD will demonstrate a fully functional local DTV station, including Open Source Storage's OSFiler, in the North Hall of the LVCC, booth #C11537. NAB attendees can also experience the new OSFiler NAS/SAN appliance at the Asaca booth #SL2908.
