ICC Launches New Elpac 80 Watt Open Frame Power Supply Series
CHICAGO, IL - International Components Corporation (ICC), an established global leader in designing and manufacturing portable rechargeable systems, today introduced two new series of 80 watt open frame power supplies marketed under the Elpac Power SystemsTM brand. The 80 watt series, designed for both medical (MTB080) and industrial (FTB080) applications, provide a power density of 12.5 watts per cubic inch and converter efficiencies up to 91%. The compact, open frame design measures only 2" x 4" x 1" (101.6mm x 50.8mm x 25.7mm) and is ideally suited for applications with limited space and little to no airflow. The MTB080 and FTB080 are the latest additions to the company's rapidly-expanding portfolio of high efficiency, high reliability power supplies.
The MTB080 and FTB080 series deliver 80 watts of continuous output power with convection cooling which rises to 100 watts with just 5 CFM of forced air. Both 80 watt series provide a long hold-up time for reliable operation at more than 28ms at any input voltage. No minimum load is required for the unit to start up and maintain stated specifications.
The power supplies are comprehensively protected against over-voltage, over-temperature, and short circuit conditions. The demonstrated mean time between failure exceeds 200,000 hours. The units operate at full power from 0 to + 50 degrees C and up to + 70 degrees C with derating. Both the MTB080 and FTB080 series utilize a universal input range of 85 to 264 VAC enabling worldwide usage.
