Series of On-Line Monitors Benefit Users Seeking Simplicity and Affordability
BEVERLY, Mass., (November 27, 2006) - Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, today unveiled a new effluent and wastewater monitoring series, adding to Thermo Scientific's extensive offering of On-Line products for customers in the power generation market. The 1100 Series for pH/ORP, Dissolved Oxygen and Conductivity is designed for ease-of-use and reliability for users at any skill level.
Thermo Scientific, an industry leader in electrode technology with its Orion product line, developed the 1100 Series to offer a full breadth of capabilities to meet customer needs. The new monitor systems, designed for value and flexibility in ultra-pure steam loop for power generation, offer a basic feature set for routine measurements and an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.

Orion 1102PH pH/ORP monitor: The monitor features auto-buffer-recognition to provide users with a choice of US, NIST and Pure low-ionic pH buffer standards. Featuring quick and easy calibration, high accuracy and simple operation, the Orion 110201PH monitor and electrode packages include a choice of rugged bulb gel-epoxy electrodes with a ¾ MNPT connection and built-in ATC. The Orion 110202PH monitor and electrode package offers a flat surface gel electrode with a ¾ MNPT connection and ATC best suited for dirty, viscous samples. The Orion 110250ORP package includes a general purpose ORP (Redox) sensor, platinum with platinum ground and double junction design- ideally suited for difficult industrial ORP measurements.
Orion 1103DO Dissolved Oxygen monitor: This monitor incorporates superior Galvanic oxygen probe technology where there is no start-up or 'warm-up' time, and the probe takes only 40 to 50 seconds to attain 95% of actual readings saving time and maximizes uptime. Calibration is quick and easy using the atmospheric air as the calibration media for 100% air saturation. Minimal maintenance and maximum performance in one easy to use system for all of your ppm level DO needs.
Orion 1104CD Conductivity monitor: This monitor offers the flexibility of seven ranges in a single controller and a maximum measurement range of up to 1000 mS/cm with proven accuracy and precision. The Orion 1104CD monitor meets the demands of harsh industrial environments across a wide variety of applications, optimizing process control. Thermo Scientific's 2-cell stainless steel electrodes with 0.1 or 1.0 cell constants offer the flexibility to match probe capabilities to a plant's requirements, from ultra-pure to process water.
