OMV Selects Syntex IMPACT ERM Suite for Enterprise Operational Risk Management

Houston, Texas - August 8, 2007 - Syntex Management Systems, Inc. today announced that OMV, Central Europe's leading oil & gas group, has selected the Syntex IMPACT ERM(TM) Suite to help streamline their incident & audit management systems across all organizations. With exploration and production activities in 20 countries structured around six core regions (CEE, North Africa, Northwestern Europe, the Middle East, Australia/New Zealand and Russia/Caspian region) and more than 40,000 employees, OMV was looking for solid, state of the art technology to support the many different divisions within the company such as Health, Safety and Environment, Exploration and Production, Refining and Marketing, as well as other business divisions including AMI, Gas and Petrom - all in one, enterprise-wide solution.
