OC Systems Announces RTI v3.2 Integration with JBoss Operations Network and RHQ

RTI v3.2 Delivers Comprehensive Application Performance Management and Root-Cause Diagnostics for the JBoss Operations Network 3.0 Release and RHQ Platforms

FAIRFAX, Va. - OC Systems, Inc. announced that RootCause Transaction Instrumentation (RTI) v3.2 integrates with Red Hat's JBoss Operations Network version 3.0 release and RHQ, making RTI the only solution that provides comprehensive Application Performance Management (APM) and root-cause diagnostics for the JBoss Operations Network and RHQ platforms. Red Hat's JBoss Operations Network (JBoss ON) provides a single point of control to deploy, manage and monitor JBoss enterprise middlewear, applications and services.

"JBoss Operations Network is an established enterprise management solution for managing JBoss middleware and applications. The latest version of RTI adds state-of-the-art APM to the platform's capabilities," stated Oliver Cole, President and CEO of OC Systems, Inc. "By integrating with JBoss Operations Network and RHQ we are able to provide JBoss users with advanced business transaction discovery, monitoring, alerting and root-cause diagnostics - the comprehensive APM capabilities that users require to optimize application performance."

RTI v3.2 introduces a new monitoring capability, Lightweight Transaction Profiling, which provides the most advanced technology for transaction-based profiling to the method-level with the lowest overhead. RTI's Lightweight Transaction Profiling can discover, monitor and diagnose application performance in production with just 2% overhead under full load. "We recognize the need to offer in-depth application performance management directly into the JBoss Operations Network in a lightweight manner," said Steve Sturtevant, Product Manager of RTI. "We're excited about delivering such deep performance information with the absolute minimum overhead."

RTI extends the base performance monitoring capabilities of JBoss Operations Network and RHQ with enhanced performance alerting and increased collaboration across operations, technical support and development. Through these integrations, RTI distinguishes itself from other APM tools:

- Automatically discovers and monitors business transactions with no user
configuration.

- Runs Lightweight Transaction Profiling in production 24/7 with just 2%
overhead under full load.

- Traces transactions across JVMs and platforms to identify root-cause
failure to the method-level.

- Correlates system resource, JBoss and JVM metrics to business
transaction performance.

- Supports monitoring and alerting on any code in your application.

- Uses JBoss Operations Network as a single platform for all JBoss
management, monitoring and diagnostics.
