Units are equipped with 1.3 GHz Intel Celeron® M Processor 350, 1 MB L2 cache, and 400 MHz FSB or 1.7 GHz Intel Pentium M Processor 740, 2 MB L2 cache, and 533 MHz FSB. They include Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 for clear images, 14.1 or 15.0 in TFT display with 1,024 x 768 resolution, 56 K V.90 modem, Rescue and Recovery(TM), and integrated Gigabit Ethernet.

IBM ThinkPad R52 Notebook Models Include Three-Year On-Site Limited Warranty
Overview
The new ThinkPad® R52 notebook features new processors and a
three-year limited on-site warranty on parts and labor (one year on battery). These systems are available only by special bid.
Educational features: vitalsource KEY and the Personal Portable Library.
The ThinkPad R52 notebook education models are available only
to public or private K-12, or higher, accredited schools organized and operated exclusively for educational purposes for use by qualified students and teachers.
These models for education are for sale direct from IBM or through an Authorized Education Reseller. They are not available for resale to any other organization or individual.

Exciting technology
The IBM Active Protection system, a ThinkVantage(TM) technology, helps protect your HDD from some damage that could be caused by shock. A system board-mounted sensor continuously monitors your ThinkPad notebook for sudden movement, and temporarily stops the HDD when a fall or similar damage event is predicted.
