Non-Contact Inspection System suits LTCC applications.

Press Release Summary:

Laser-based CT 300 combines digital sensor technology and x- and y-translation stages with 12 x 12 in. travel. Height measurement system employs digital laser sensors and computer-controlled motion to produce 2D profiles and 3D raster scans, which then produce 3D topographical map. Unit features 0.1 µm encoder resolution and 16 x 16 in. platform size, stabilized by ~450 kg granite base. DRS digital sensor technology automatically compensates for variations in surface reflectivity.

New CT 300 Inspection and Measurement System Offers Large Area, Ideal for LTCC Applications

Ogdensburg, New York, USA - Cyber Technologies USA's new CT 300 laser-based non-contact inspection system incorporates a large x- and y- translation stage with 300 x 300 mm (12x12 in) travel, and is ideal for LTCC applications. The CT 300 quickly and precisely measures height and thickness of dispensed or printed features; warpage or parallelism; angles, length, width, and many other parameters of features ranging from IC devices to flip chip bumps to microstructures.

Similar to CyberTechnologies' Vantage series systems, but offering larger capacity, the CT 300 is highly precise - featuring 0,1 µm encoder resolution - but with a 400 x 400 mm (16x16 in) platform size, stabilized by a ~450Kg granite base. The CT 300 combines proven digital sensor technology with x- and y-translation stages for scanning target objects. Its non-contact height measurement system employs digital laser sensors and computer-controlled motion to produce high-resolution 2D profiles and 3D raster scans which then produce a 3D topographical map. These non-contact 3D inspections are required for microscale objects that may be wet, fragile, pliable or highly contoured. The sensors are available with different resolutions and measurement ranges for various applications.

CT 300 measurement accuracy is unaffected by shiny, translucent or multicolored surfaces. Its unique DRS digital sensor technology automatically compensates for variations in surface reflectivity. As a result, the CT 300 delivers consistently accurate readings across a wide range of objects.

The CT 300 System uses CyberTechnologies' new AScan automated software platform, offering comprehensive profile measuring and 3D analysis combined with powerful time-saving automated functions. Typical applications are thickfilm measurements on various substrates, volume measurements on printed or dispensed features, warpage and flatness measurements as well as standard profile analysis such like angle, radius and roughness. Inspection tasks can be completely automated and results can be stored in files for further analysis or send to an existing database or SPC system.
