Nippon Pulse Introduces Four Driver Boards

Nippon Pulse has introduced four new driver boards for use with 2-phase stepper motors. Now available are the AD1111, AD1131, AD1231, AD1431 to drive bipolar and unipolar stepper motors. All four drivers are ideal for integration into systems or for use during prototyping and evaluation phases.

The AD1231 is a constant current driver board designed for 2-phase unipolar stepper motors. The board is able to drive unipolar stepper motors with bifilar coil windings. To prevent heat generation during the deceleration of the motor, the AD1231 is equipped with an auto current down function (25%, 50%, or 75%). The AD1231 reduces noise and vibration and also reduces torque ripple.

The AD1431 is a constant current driver board designed for 2-phase bipolar stepper motors. Available with five different excitation modes (Full, Half, 1/4, and 1/16), the AD1431 driver board also features an auto current down function (25%, 50%, or 75%) to prevent excess heat generation during motor stop.

The AD1111 is a constant voltage driver for unipolar steppers, with a maximum current of 350mA, while the AD1131 is also a constant voltage driver for unipolar stepper motors but has a maximum current of 1.1A.
