New Twin Rod Guided Cylinder Mounts between Units to Create Effective-Yet-Inexpensive Systems

ATLANTA, OCT. 31, 2006 - Parker Hannifin's Actuator Division has released the new Twin Rod Series Guided Cylinder. The P5TT and P5TD Series incorporates two 6-, 10-, 16-, 20-, 25,- or 32-mm bore cylinders into an integrated housing/bearing structure to create a low-profile guided actuator.

The Twin Rod Series is available in a single tool plate version and a versatile double tool plate version that can also be used as a base style actuator.

The P5TT and P5TD series is designed to suit the needs of large OEM customers in the conveyor, packaging, life sciences, and electronics industry who seek high speed, light-duty, and non-rotating linear motion with minimal cost.

The Twin Rod Actuator is designed with features which allow for easy installation and use while maintaining a low cost of ownership. Each single tool plate unit will include a standard stroke adjuster for the retract stroke. A stroke adjuster in the extend-and-retract position is standard on the double tool plate version.

The Twin Rod Actuator includes a unique t-nut mounting groove which allows for mounting between two or three units to create very inexpensive systems. This groove and t-nut combination also allows for drop-in replacements of most major competitors.

All units are manufactured and shipped from Parker's Wadsworth, Ohio, facility.Stocked bore and stroke combinations are available for quick assembly and shipment within two to three days.
