New Security Platform Offers Total Unity and Control

Network Harbor, Inc. releases LightHouse(TM) Server/Platform and NHI Intercom(TM)

Bartonville, Ill., -On , central-Illinois-based security systems developer Network Harbor, Inc. will release its LightHouse(TM) security system platform as well as a network-based intercom system, known as NHI Intercom(TM), designed for use with the LightHouse system.

LightHouse(TM) is designed to unify every component of a user's security system in a seamless manner and provide comprehensive control within a single, intuitive interface. It can support virtually any component, sub-system or third-party security product on the market.

The LightHouse platform employs a modular architecture based on Microsoft's lat-est .NET technology and relies heavily on Extensible Markup Language (XML). This design ensures that LightHouse will be able to support new media formats and access control standards as they develop and accommodate the addition of new devices and system features as the client chooses to add them.

The LightHouse graphic interface sets a new industry standard for sophistication and ease of use. Every device in a client's security system is clearly represented by an icon, hotspot or perimeter and can be controlled within LightHouse's intuitive graphic environment. Using a mouse, touchscreen or keyboard, LightHouse users can navigate through facilities, zoom in and out, select any device, check its status, and control it from any workstation, portable laptop or control device (such as a PDA).

LightHouse also includes extensive event-handling capabilities. For example, when an alarm is activated, the user can disable the alarm (while keeping the event active), dispatch officers, report findings and record incident resolutions. Events can also be re-opened, reviewed and edited by a user with the proper permission in the future.

NHI Intercom(TM) is a network-IP-based intercom system designed for integration with the LightHouse(TM) security platform via its communication portal. Thanks to its all-digital design, NHI Intercom(TM) offers a range of features and a level of expandability that cannot be achieved with other intercom systems. Yet, since it uses standard network lines and hardware, it is simpler and less expensive to install than conventional systems. NHI Intercom(TM) is also completely secure and uses industry-standard control and communication protocols.

NHI Intercom(TM) does not limit the number of master stations or substations a user can add. Among its standard features are conference calling, automatic call forward-ing, digital audio recording, and an audit trail. Master stations can quickly and easily set up group, paging, and conference calls through an intuitive graphical interface. From a master station, a user can also manage conferences, mute, deafen, disconnect, or invite any other station on the system.
