Wire Drawing and Knitting- After wire drawing, which is a multiple step process that "draws" wire rod into finished diameter's from .0020" to .0200", it is Knitted into a tubular shape. Knitted Mesh produces interlocking loops of wire in a concentric sleeve. Capabilities include mesh from 1" through 16" wide using annealed and hard drawn wire. These loops can move relative to each other in the same plane without distorting the mesh, giving knitted mesh a two-way flexibility.

Recovery Cable: This is a highly specialized product which can be made from 3/16" to 1 ½" diameter and even larger if required. Used primarily as a component in high temperature or cryogenic seals and gaskets. They can be made from 300 series Stainless Steel, Inconel® 600 or any material that we manufacture. They are made and designed to operate in environments where less noble materials will fail. Loos will make these products to customer's exacting design specifications. Additionally, since knitted mesh has specific compression characteristics, essentially acting as a spring, it provides resistance to mechanical wear. Recovery cable can be made in light, medium, regular and heavy densities.

EMI/RFI Shielding: -This Mesh is commonly used in electronic enclosures where low closure force is required with low compressibility set. The mesh consists of many interlocking loops that act as thousands of small springs which provide for a resilient all-metal conductive gasket. When an elastomer is the core for the wire mesh, it provides excellent compressibility with a high degree of resilience while, at the same time, functioning as an environmental seal. We at Loos provide the basic mesh for this product and do not supply finished products. We simply fill in your production, or tooling gaps.

Materials -We have in stock and manufacture finished wire from the following raw materials: Type 302, 304, 305, 309, 310, 316, 316L, 317 and 321; Type 430. As well as Monel® 400, Inconel® 600, 601, and 625. Nickel 200, 201 and 205. Alloy 20 [20Cb3], and Hastelloy C-276. Aluminum 5056, and 5154. SnCuFe in diameter's from .0035" - .0050".
