WIN Enterprises Announces Fanless Desktop Networking System with Cavium OCTEON CN8031 and Eight GbE Ports
October 16, 2018 WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded x86 motherboards and appliances for OEMs, announces the PL-81920, The PL-81920 is a desktop appliance designed to support network service applications and is suitable for SOHO (Small Office, Home Office), SMB (Small Medium Business), and ROBO (Remote Office, Branch Office) market segments. The PL-81920 supports the Cavium OCTEON TX CN8031/CN8021 processor and onboard DDR4 memory up to 4GB. In addition to standard networking IT applications, its onboard DDR4 memory and plenty of I/O (8GbE LANs) enables IoT to be used for IIoT gateway support.

In order to provide the best network performance and utilization, the standard device comes equipped with onboard eMMC flash for boot device and has internal footprint reserved for an optional M.2 2280 SSD. PL-81920 supports maximum 8x Copper GbE ports, mini-PCIe Wi-Fi module and M.2 USB LTE module. Providing easy access, the rear panel has a USB 3.0 port, one RJ45 console port and LED indicators.
