Original Press Release:

Duplicate 4-20 mA/HART Signals MINI Analog Pro Offers Easy Installation in Tight Spaces

Middletown, Pa. – Phoenix Contact’s 6-mm MINI Analog Pro family now includes a 4-20 mA/HART signal duplicator. The duplicator makes it possible for two devices (such as a display, PLC input card, or DCS) to receive the same signal simultaneously.

Duplicating the signal is more cost-effective than using two instruments and ensures the signal at both locations is identical. This can be useful in applications such as the custody transfer of oil and gas. For example, the module can duplicate the analog output from a flow meter and send one analog signal to the seller and one to the buyer.

On the input side, the module can be used for isolating four-wire powered devices, or for powering and repeating the signal of two-wire field devices. The two outputs are isolated 1:1, 4-20 mA with the HART communications signal intact.

Like other MINI Pro signal conditioners, the new duplicator’s housing is pluggable with integrated current loop test points. The modules measure just 6.2 mm wide, making them easy to install in tight spaces. With an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 C, a robust design, and multiple approvals, the MINI Pro signal conditioners are suitable for nearly every industrial application.

All MINI Pro signal conditioners support NFC communication and a smart device app. For DIP switch programmable modules, this includes a DIP switch programming aid to help make programming quick and easy. Learn more at: www.phoenixcontact.com/minipro
