New Microfiber Carts Reduce Risk of Infection and Cross-Contamination

Muskegon, MI...Geerpres®, Inc., a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of professional janitorial and sanitation equipment, introduces three new carts to its microfiber family of products, the Microfiber Wagon, the Microfiber RX, and the Deluxe Microfiber RX.

Each cart is designed to both protect the health of cleaning professionals and maintain a healthy environment for building occupants, workers, and visitors. All three carts are manufactured with corrosion-resistant, stainless steel, using agents that will reduce the growth of harmful germs. In addition, each cart is specially treated with BioShield® 75, an EPA registered, USDA accepted biostatic antimicrobial surface protectant which helps prevent the growth and transference of bacteria, fungi, mold, and mildew.

The Microfiber Wagon features a lightweight tubular design and a single, wide cart handle which makes maneuvering simple. Other features include a mop handle holder, two accessory hooks, 4-inch casters, and tray liners. The Microfiber Wagon can also be equipped with a pre-saturated microfiber bucket/system or the Geerpres GPS(TM) 2000 Microfiber Applicator. Ideal for healthcare environments, the GPS 2000 uses a specially designed trigger located at the top of the handle which dispenses clean fluid for each new cleaning application, making it impossible to use contaminated cleaning liquids on floors. Additional cart accessories include a presat bucket and a microfiber mop handle featuring an 18-inch frame.

The Microfiber RX cart provides cleaning-friendly features including a full RX size cabinet, industrial-strength 4- or 5-inch casters, soiled mop pouch to hold contaminated cleaners, mop holders, and auto-lock doors. The Microfiber RX has a single panel door for storage while the Deluxe Microfiber RX has a double panel door. Both carts can be equipped with lock boxes.

Ted Moon, Vice President of Geerpres, Inc., says, "The new microfiber carts are an excellent solution for building and facility managers looking for ways to reduce the risk of infection and cross-contamination within their buildings. By using stainless steel and then adding BioShield 75, these carts can play an important role as part of a safe and environmentally-friendly cleaning approach."
