Figaro Engineering Product Announcement: Battery Operable Methane Sensor TGS8410

Figaro Engineering Inc. is pleased to announce its latest offering —The battery operable methane sensor, TGS8410. Combining advanced Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology with Figaro’s 50+ years of extensive experience in MOS type gas sensors, Figaro has developed a new methane gas sensor, which has the lowest power consumption among our current product lineup. Due to miniaturization of the sensing chip, TGS 8410 only requires a fraction of the power of our other sensors and has a long lifetime of 5 years with a single lithium battery, making it suitable for low-power equipment and battery-operated instruments.

TGS 8410 uses filter material in its housing for eliminating the influence of interference gases such as alcohol, resulting in highly selective response to methane gas. This feature makes the sensor ideal for gas leakage detectors for both residential and industrial applications which require durability and resistance against interference gas.

For your evaluation, we can provide limited free samples by request, under the condition of receiving customer feedback. The quantity is limited. Please let us know the required quantity and your company name, application, and background of the request. Please be on the lookout for this sensor’s release into the market in the coming months.
