Halo Ramp: Pivotal for Time, Energy, and Safety
Twin Cities, Minnesota: October 2018
Michael Lopez, founder and president of Halo Ramp Company, is pleased to announce the launch of the Halo Ramp Safety Platform at the annual International Food Distribution Equipment Association Expo in San Antonio, Texas, that runs from October 28 to October 30, 2018, at the Henry B Gonzalez Center.
Recognized for being “pivotal for time, energy, and safety,” the Halo Ramp is used to save the everyday ergonomic stresses of loading and unloading trucks, specifically as it reduces the strains and detriment caused to the body from repetitive lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying actions associated with freight handling. Halo products can also transform existing ramps into pivoting ramps, allowing drivers to “swivel” their ramp for the best and safest delivery every stop, every day.
Lopez says, “When it comes to the Halo Ramp Safety Platform, agility and innovation are our key differentiators. While another company can offer what we offer, our product helps everyone in the logistics chain who touches it--starting with the drivers, who benefit from making safer and more efficient deliveries; supervisors' jobs are made easier as they can structure routes with more stops or get drivers and trams home sooner to mitigate cost of being on the road; and companies will likely see a dramatic decrease in ramp-related incidents and accidents."
Speaking of the Halo Ramp’s features, Mark Condiff, senior technical consultant for the UPS Dedicated Risk Control Team in Minneapolis, MN, adds, “The flexibility to pivot the ramp would clearly help reduce risk and improve productivity. For some companies, the productivity angle may be as appealing as the safety advantage. For instance, UPS measures every step taken by a driver. Any chance to reduce steps is appealing.”
