Critical System and Equipment Information Now Available with New Magnetek® Brand MagnePulse™ DMC Series 2 Digital Magnet Control

Provides Easily Accessible System Monitoring and Diagnostic Information Anytime, Anywhere

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 31, 2020 – Columbus McKinnon Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCO), a leading designer and manufacturer of motion control products and technologies for material handling, announces the availability of the Magnetek® brand MagnePulse™ DMC Series 2 Digital Magnet Control – the Company’s latest innovation in DC-to-DC control. Combining advanced safety and performance features in one easy-to-use control, MagnePulse DMC Series 2 offers comprehensive system monitoring that can optimize the efficiency of processes and equipment. MagnePulse is ideal for operation of industrial lifting magnets in heavy-duty applications.

“Having immediate access to critical equipment and system information can help increase the safety, productivity, and uptime in a facility,” said Casey Cummins, product manager for Magnetek-brand controls. “The new diagnostic capabilities of the MagnePulse DMC Series 2 improve communication between the drive and operators and simplify the process of accessing the drive and its performance data.”

Fully compatible with Magnetek-brand IMPULSE®●Link 5 so8ware and DataLogger Series 4 (DLS4), MagnePulse DMC Series 2 delivers critical performance information, such as alarm, fault, and run details, that can assist with predictive maintenance and help minimize downtime. MagnePulse is designed with safety in mind, featuring the ability to monitor itself while in use to ensure proper operation. It can also be programmed to maintain safe thresholds of the magnet it is controlling, including twenty-five variables such as magnet current, voltage, resistance, temperature, and DC-bus voltage. The more on-the-spot information available to users, the safer and more efficient facilities can operate.

MagnePulse DMC Series 2 can be retrofitted to an existing system, designed as a pre-engineered panel, or added to a custom panel built to customers’ exact specifications.
