New Direct Drive Servo Press Technology at FABTECH 2011

Tullahoma, TN - SEYI America, Inc. will showcase its new SD series 1-point Direct Drive Servo press in booth #3330 at the upcoming FABETCH 2011, November 14-17. Factory engineers and service technicians will be on-hand to demonstrate how the SD1-220 ton straight side servo press can replace a traditional two-stage die, hydraulic press process. By utilizing freeform slide programmability and hydraulic die cushion, attendees will see the production of a multi-tiered 1"- 4" deep drawn, SPCC 270 automotive oil pan, using only one stroke. The demonstration will feature SEYI's advanced high-torque (14,000 Nm), low-rpm (340) motor and direct-drive transmission, advanced frame design, and state-of-the-art servo controller - equipped with eight pre-programmed slide motion profiles and freeform motion.

Along with in-booth demonstrations, attendees can gain perspective on the productivity and financial advantages of SEYI's new Direct Drive Servo Press technology during the free 30 minute session: "Rethink the Way You Form". Held in the FABTECH New Product Theatre on Tuesday, November 15th at 3:45 p.m., attendees will see examples of the technical and cost-benefits of servo forming while exploring the technological advancements engineered into SEYI's new Direct Drive Servo presses. Audience participation is encouraged.
