Original Press Release:

GROK Air Sterilization Systems Introduces Active Airborne Virus Control for Businesses and Homes

Victoria, March 23, 2020 /CNW/ - Communicable disease and viruses put millions of lives at risk every year, disrupting businesses and homes. While hand washing and surface disinfecting are important, until now the remaining infection channel has not been adequately addressed: indoor air. GROK Energy Services provides active airborne virus control with proven GROK Air Sterilization Systems, which continuously sterilize indoor air and exposed surfaces, killing viruses, other pathogens, and mould. Businesses and clinics can now proactively reduce the spread of disease in public spaces to protect workers and clients, while homeowners can help keep their families safe.

Air Sterilization Fights Virus Transmission

Many pathogens spread through airborne transmission. A study completed by the US National Institute of health concluded that many viruses can remain airborne for up to 3 hours. Surface cleaning cannot guarantee 100% disinfection, nor prevent airborne spread of disease. GROK Air Sterilization systems continuously kill pathogens in indoor air and on exposed surfaces, pervasively. GROK Air Sterilization systems are not a replacement for recommended hand washing, surface cleaning, or social distancing practices – rather, the technology provides an effective, additional defense shield.

Sterilization Keeps Air Clean

GROK Air Sterilization systems feature patented Needle Point Bi-Polar Ionization (NPBI) technology. NPBI allows existing air filtration systems to capture more particles, increasing the efficiency of the HVAC filtration. In 2019, Canada's National Research Council measured a 23% reduction in fine airborne particulate as a result of using GROK Air Sterilization technology, providing substantial health benefits. The technology also consumes very little energy, so can be active 24-hours a day, with minimal impact on energy bills.

Proven Effective Against Pathogens

GROK Air Sterilization systems are proven to attack and kill viruses and bacteria. Independent testing by ATS Labs, proved that NPBI technology substantially reduced populations of Norovirus and Feline Calicivirus. Further independent testing of NPBI technology by ELITE Labs, demonstrated effective sterilization of C. Difficile, Staphylococcus, MRSA, E. Coli, and Legionella.

Testing is presently underway on an expanded list of pathogens and viruses. Results will be published as soon as they are available.
