Customer Requests Fuel Two New Proliphix Thermostat Models

Company responds to K-12 schools' needs for greater energy management control

WESTFORD, Mass., Jan. 22, 2008 - Proliphix Inc., developer of the first and only Internet-enabled communicating thermostat and related thermal management products, announced today the release of two new network-enabled thermostats. The introduction of the new thermostat models was inspired by the company's current K-12 school customers, who requested several new features to help them gain even greater control of their energy management initiatives. The new products are also suitable for any small to medium enterprise that requires inexpensive and easy to use HVAC management.

The new Network Thermostats are a part of the Proliphix Uniphy(TM) platform, which also supports Proliphix UniVista(TM) web-based energy management software. The NT130 and NT160 thermostat models are an extension of the Proliphix web-enabled thermal management product line, and incorporate the latest Proliphix technology.

New features include a one-button override, which allows the user to automatically set thermostats to a pre-specified setting, Day Class name customization of up to 10 characters for more specific name definition, and the addition of five-minute incremental period scheduling to stagger cycles and reduce the load on the HVAC system. The NT160 provides the additional feature of auxiliary relay scheduling, which can be used to control outside air dampers or lighting loads. The NT160 can also sense and control relative humidity in a single HVAC zone.

"Our products are well-suited for a K-12 school environment. We listened to our school customers and developed the NT130 and NT160 to answer their requests," said Walter Dray, President of Proliphix. "The new products offer a great deal more customization and control in a school environment, and demonstrate our commitment to customer-centric service and product development."
