Palisade Systems Announces Major Upgrades to Its Data Leak Prevention Appliance, PacketSure 7.0

Addition of Central Management Server, Data-at-Rest, Support for HTTPS Content Analysis, and Cisco Systems' WCCP, Helps Palisade Secure New Enterprise Customers

AMES, Iowa, Feb. 6 /-- Palisade Systems, a leading provider of data loss prevention products, today announced the release of PacketSure 7.0, the only network appliance within the data loss prevention and content monitoring and filtering market to offer a single-product solution for auditing, blocking, encrypting, and reporting of sensitive data in real-time for enterprises of all sizes. The addition of Centralized Management, Data-at-Rest, and new interfaces including implementation wizards to PacketSure 7.0, was an important reason why several new enterprise customers have chosen Palisade Systems over competing data leak prevention vendors.

"PacketSure 7.0 will prove to be a market leading product because of these enhanced features," said Kurt Shedenhelm, CEO and president of Palisade Systems. "To obtain similar functionality customers would have to install multiple products from different vendors, which would increase implementation and management costs and perpetuate the chances of interoperability issues."

Some of the features included in PacketSure 7.0 are as follows:
-- The addition of a Central Management Server (CMS) allowing enterprise deployment of policies to distributed gateways and endpoints in the enterprise.
-- Data-At-Rest allowing gateway DLP policies to be enforced at the endpoints
-- Implementation Wizards for configuring
-- Data Loss Prevention rules and policies, and Web FilteringSupport for HTTPS content analysis
o Violations can be logged and blocked
-- Support for Cisco's Web Cache Communication Protocol (WCCP) to route web traffic to the PacketSure web proxy.
o Provides a way to route all HTTP traffic to PacketSure for content analysis without configuring each browser on the network to use the PacketSure web proxy.
-- Email and Web Proxies built into the appliance

"Insider threats to organizations' sensitive data is increasing, which is why Palisade Systems is committed to helping arm enterprises with the most comprehensive data leak prevention technology available on the market today," says Kurt Shedenhelm. "With PacketSure 7.0 we are providing the tools and features that enterprises need to effectively protect their sensitive data in distributed environments -- all in real time in order to effectively protect against these constantly evolving threats."
