PANDUIT introduces the latest upgrade to the PANVIEW(TM) System platform to help enterprises quickly identify key network linkages by monitoring physical layer connections in real time.
PANVIEW(TM) Version 4.0 software and hardware products control, map and monitor the physical layer and related network resources to permit efficient infrastructure management, quick problem resolution, and substantially reduced network operational costs.
New features in PANVIEW(TM) Version 4.0 include improved work order support, user interface (UI) enhancements, new security features, and integration modules that tie into higher-level enterprise management tools and frameworks, giving unprecedented visibility into and manageability of the fundamental layer of the enterprise network, the physical layer.
The PANVIEW(TM) System continuously scans patch field connections ensuring accurate reporting of the mapped physical layer and visibility of connection information available to technicians, network administrators, and help-desk personnel. The PANVIEW(TM) System also tracks movement of network endpoints by periodically scanning switches in the network for the unique MAC addresses of connected network devices. By comparing the results of these scans to previously stored database information, changes in physical connectivity for the associated devices can be automatically detected by PANVIEW(TM) and network managers can be notified of these changes.
