Netreo Provides Network Management for Interop Las Vegas 2007

Netreo OmniCenter Delivers Fully Integrated Network Monitoring, Alerting, and Reporting Applications for InteropNet

IRVINE, Calif., May 15 / -- Netreo, a provider of IT management solutions, has been selected as the official integrated management solutions provider for the InteropNet at Interop Las Vegas 2007 (Mandalay Bay Convention Center, May 20-25) and Interop New York 2007 (Javits Center, October 22-26). InteropNet, hailed as the world's largest temporary network, is the underlying collaborative network that powers Interop and provides connectivity for approximately 400 exhibitors and more than 18,000 attendees. Netreo's OmniCenter® was selected because it provides a self-contained, agentless, and clientless architecture that ensures rapid deployment, seamless integration, and minimal administration for network management.

"The InteropNet, designed to demonstrate vendor interoperability, must provide a powerful and reliable network experience for all attendees," said Kevin Kinsey, CEO of Netreo. "OmniCenter's ability to reduce the complexity associated with managing IT resources made it a perfect fit for the show, which required a product that could be easily deployed, integrated and administered."

"Year after year, the InteropNet is designed and built with the collaboration of the industry's most resourceful and dynamic network professionals, providing Interop attendees with a functional demonstration of networking excellence," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General Manager. "This year's hand-selected list of distinguished participants, such as Netreo, will ensure that Interop continues to lead the industry in network innovation, even in the face of changing business practices."

Besides providing connectivity, the InteropNet also provides voice, video and data storage for show attendees. It is built just four days prior to the event using the most advanced networking equipment in the market from vendors that include Juniper Networks, Nortel, Qwest and Extreme Networks. The goal of InteropNet is to demonstrate interoperability and provide seamless Internet connectivity during the show.

OmniCenter will provide in-depth visibility into network, system and application resources to deliver robust fault, performance, and device management capabilities and tools during the show. This includes real-time alerting for failed or compromised components, as well as trending, diagnostic and forensics reporting. These features will enable the show's network managers to immediately identify network congestion or problematic components, helping to eliminate network downtime and more effectively manage show assets.

Netreo will be demonstrating its entire family of network management products - including its new OmniCenter Flow - in its booth (474) at Interop Las Vegas 2007, May 22-25, Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
