Ness Technologies Wins $6 Million Advanced Geographical Data Management Deal for Prague

PRAGUE, January 3 -- Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSTC), a global provider of information technology solutions and services, today announced that it was engaged by the Spatial Information Division of Prague Municipality to implement the Digital Map of Prague (DMP) project, worth $6 million. The project includes building a digital map of the Prague area to be used as the reference source for the division's geographical information systems, and flexible, operational digital map management to facilitate ongoing enhancement of quality and content. DMP will simplify planning queries, supporting various authorities, and will benefit the Czech capital's citizens.

Following the development and implementation phase of the complex solution, which began on October 1, 2007, Ness will provide ongoing enhancements and support over the next five years. Ness will also provide project management and analytical consulting services for the project as a whole, in its role as integrator. Ness' partner in the project is T-Mapy, a successful geographical information systems (GIS) provider in the Czech Republic backed by T-Kartor, a Swedish-based global company. The project employs well-proven technology platforms - ESRI and Oracle. ESRI products are standard in the GIS field in the United States and the European Union, including for public administration in the Czech Republic.

"The proposal by Ness and T-Mapy was judged to be the best bid in our public tender, especially in the technical solution presented," said JiÃ...?i Ã"?tyroky, head of the Territory Information Department of the Spatial Information Division. "It meets our control requirements for efficiency, and furthermore it will enable direct integration and sharing of spatial data and information with current and future systems within Prague. Progress on the project to date is very positive and smooth, and we believe that it will be very successful."

"We were selected for the Digital Map of Prague engagement based on our successful implementation and continuing development of Real Estate Registry Information System, a unique solution built for the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre and drawing on our deep experience and knowledge of GIS solutions," said Mirko Kalous, managing director of Ness Czech. "Our partnership with the Spatial Information Division of Prague Municipality is very strong and collegial. We greatly appreciate being chosen for this project, and look forward to implementing this important solution for the capital city. This contract supports our long-term focus on the state and local administration sectors in Eastern Europe."
