Shannon, Ireland, Aurora, IL, USA and Manno, Switzerland - February, 2007 -
NavSync Ltd (www.navsync.com) a leading designer of GPS modules and integrated products, and NemeriX (www.nemerix.com), a leading fabless semiconductor company specializing in ultra low power semiconductors and solutions for GPS and location-based services, announce a joint venture to incorporate NemeriX's GPS chipsets into NavSync's portfolio of integrated GPS products.
This non-exclusive agreement enables the two companies to bring the industry's most advanced GPS products to market, while continuing to focus on their respective core competencies. NemeriX is the industry's most innovative designer of high-quality, low-power GPS receiver chips, and NavSync provides an array of GPS receiver products specifically designed to acquire and track satellites under harsh conditions, with very low signal strengths. In working together, NavSync is able to enhance its product portfolio by including the ultra low-power, and high-performance NemeriX chipsets into its offerings.
"NavSync's capability and experience in the GPS timing market, as well as in the design of GPS modules and integrated products for both timing and navigation applications will be complemented by the addition of the NemeriX products to our range," said John O'Connell, MD of NavSync in Ireland. "The NemeriX products, particularly in light of their excellent power efficiency, allow us access to markets which were previously unavailable to us. In addition, we now have access to the proven design knowledge of NemeriX, which allows us to enhance the customization of our products to match our customer's requirements."
"We're honored that NavSync has chosen to incorporate our GPS chipsets into their products, and we look forward to helping their customers leverage the power and accuracy of our technology," stated Ron Torten, CEO of NemeriX. "Being selected by NavSync - a company that is known globally for high-precision GPS product expertise - underscores the reputation that our GPS solutions have garnered with respect to low-power, and extremely very high-performance."
