Heavy Duty Psychrometer Provides Wide Range of Measurements, Capabilities
Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, introduces the HD500 Psychrometer, part of its Heavy Duty Series of instruments specially designed to meet the needs of the HVACR industry. This 3-in-1 combination meter combines the functions of a Precision Humidity Meter with a patented built-in Infrared Thermometer for non-contact temperature measurement to 932°F (500°C) with 30:1 distance to target ratio, in addition to a built-in Type K Thermometer that provides contact temperature measurements to 2501°F (1372°C).
The HD500 provides the highest precision 2% Relative Humidity (RH) accuracy with fast response time. Its rugged double molded housing features a large triple LCD backlit display, making the device ideal for tough applications with low visibility.
Complete with auto power off and a USB port that includes PC software, the HD500 also has a built-in self calibration utility that allows for field calibrations using optional RH calibration bottles.
Extech's Heavy Duty series is comprised of six separate devices measuring Pressure, Humidity, Airflow, Temperature, Sound and Light, most with optional IR Thermometer capabilities that are ideal for making non-contact temperature measurements for unsafe or hard to reach areas.
