Space-Saving CBM Offers High-Density Protection

Protects up to eight circuits from overload and short-circuit

Middletown, Pa. – Phoenix Contact’s new CBM is a series of programmable, multichannel circuit breakers that can manage multiple circuits in a single device. With up to eight circuit breakers in 41 mm of space, the CBM significantly reduces the amount of cabinet space used.

The two new device circuit breakers, with four- and eight-channel options, lock in the set nominal currents electronically, preventing unwanted changes. Each channel has an individual load rated at 0.5 - 10 A, with an LED status indication that lets users monitor the trip status of each circuit-breaker channel. The circuit breaker detects and signals overvoltages and undervoltages, then disables connected loads in a targeted manner.

The CBM offers adjustable current settings along with many other easy-to-use features, including remote status monitoring and reset, and active current assist. Its design enables startup at -40°C, as well as use in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 70°C.
