Tel-Aviv, Israel, October 17th, 2006 --- Solid Applied Technologies, Ltd. (Solid AT) a leading provider of ultrasonic and radar continuous level measurement instruments, is proud to present the SmartScan® Multi-Sensor, a new member of the SmartScan® family of non-contact, continuous ultrasonic level measurement devices for various types of tanks and open channel flow with a measuring range of up to 12 meters/39 ft. The SmartScan® products are equipped with an extensive software package to calculate multiple measurement readings, predefined flumes and weirs, and activate relays.
SmartScan® Multi-Sensor is a 4 wire, high-voltage device incorporating a customized LCD and six SPDT relays that can each be assigned to different outputs. The SmartScan® Multi-Sensor supports 3 x 4-20mA outputs (that can reflect the first sensor, second sensor and the difference or average of both sensors), RS-232/485, and HART protocol. SmartScan® Multi-Sensor has a unique customized LCD display which enables easy and user friendly device configuration as well as data display and toggling capabilities. Being a two-part unit equipped with compact sensors, SmartScan® Multi-Sensor enables hassle-free installations even in remote locations with poor accessibility. SmartScan® Multi-Sensor can be installed in hazardous locations in which explosive atmospheres caused by mixtures of air and gases, vapors or mists are present.
