Industrial Video Offers World's First Class I Division 1 Megapixel Camera

Expands certified, intrinsically safe product line with fixed, multi-megapixel camera

Newton, MA - May 7, 2007 - Industrial Video & Control Co. (IVC), a leading provider of networked-based video surveillance systems, announced today that it has expanded its certified camera line with a new line of fixed cameras.

IVC is now shipping versions of its Class I Division 1 fixed, multi-megapixel camera.
IVC's initial offering is a three megapixel camera with a 10-40mm varifocal lens. Other camera resolutions will soon be available and all cameras have a variety of lens options to suit almost any application. These economically priced cameras compliment IVC's line of Class I Division 1 and Class I Division II PTZ cameras. These cameras
are designed for customers that demand high performance cameras for use in areas where ignitable concentration of gases or vapors may exist. Class I Division 1 specifies that the devices must be intrinsically safe, incapable of causing ignition of a mixture of flammable or combustible material. IVC has designed its Class 1 Division 1
cameras to meet this requirement. The new fixed cameras are housed in rugged, cast aluminum enclosure that has been certified by Factory Mutual. They are IP-ready and are compliant with IEEE 802.3af, power over Ethernet specification.

"We think the market will be very excited about this product," states Norman Fast, IVC's president. "It offers the ability to zoom in on live or stored video and create several 'virtual' fixed cameras with a single unit."

The megapixel fixed cameras together with IVC's existing certified PTZ cameras provide the industry's most advanced and cost-effective video solution for hazardous areas. IVC's cameras systems are currently deployed by over a dozen of the world's leading oil and gas companies.
