MtronPTI Introduces Ceramic Filter Product Line

Yankton, South Dakota -July 2, 2007 - MtronPTI, a leading producer of frequency control & filter products, has expanded their already broad product portfolio to include ceramic filters. The ceramic filter line will feature products with frequencies from 300 MHz to 6 GHz with a 1-40 percent bandwidth. Products are tailored to the customers' needs and offered in custom packages with RoHS compliance.
The ceramic filter products are often used in applications that are already supported by MtronPTI's broad product portfolio, including; base stations, up/down converters, modems, receivers, transceivers, VSAT's (very small aperture terminals), satellite terminals, modulators, demodulators and gateways. Standard duplexers, bandpass filters and multiplexers are also available from MtronPTI for the base station and repeater applications.
The product line will include mono-block duplexers, which are configured with several resonators. The technical advantages include removal of the additional parts such as combination circuits for combining resonators and external circuits for patterning or holes. Applications for this technology include SATCOM, Internet Connectivity, Telephone Connectivity, Point-to-Point Networks, Point-to-Multipoint Networks, Broadband Access, LANs, and WLANs.
One example of the recently developed products for WIMAX applications is Model CF2510R. It is a 3.5 GHz device with a 300 kHz bandwidth, featuring a 2.5 dB insertion loss, 1.0 dB of ripple and 13 dB return loss. This 50 W terminated device operates over the temperature range of -40C to 85C and provides
60 dB of attenuation at 3.95 GHz and 3.1 GHz. The surface mount package is 26.5 x 12 x 6.3 mm.
