MTC to Feature SpyHawk(TM) UAS at Paris Air Show

DAYTON, Ohio, June 4 / - MTC Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTCT), an industry-recognized provider of aircraft modernization and sustainment, professional services, C4ISR, and logistics solutions to the Department of Defense and national security agencies, announced today it will feature its SpyHawk(TM) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) at the 47th International Paris Air Show, June 18-24. MTC will join almost 2,000 exhibitors from 37 countries at the world renowned air and space show as it showcases one of the company's most exciting offerings.

A pioneer in the field of UAS systems integration, MTC offers its customers a full range of UAS services. The SpyHawk UAS, unlike most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), is a complete stand-alone system. The lightweight, ready-to-use-as-delivered, STANAG 4586-compliant, expeditionary system with a small logistical footprint requires minimal formal operator/maintainer training. The unmanned aircraft itself is six-and-a-half feet in length and has a maximum speed of 80 knots and payload capacity of 20 pounds. A derivative of the Arcturus T-16 series of unmanned air vehicles, it is an auto takeoff/land, Tier II-class aircraft with a wingspan of over 12 feet, and an ability to loiter over selected areas for over 12 hours.

"We are very proud of our SpyHawk UAS solution," said MTC President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Brown. "It really is the consummate mid-level UAS, and provides next generation capabilities fully backed by our highly skilled professionals.

"The adaptability of the SpyHawk UAS makes it a valuable tool for warfighters and for use in the war against terrorism, as well as for civil and commercial applications," Mr. Brown continued.

What sets the SpyHawk UAS apart is the extreme accuracy of its Optical Alchemy, Inc. (OAI) EO/IR sensor. OAI's inertially stabilized turret allows this multi-mission system to deliver actionable intelligence of long tract or high value assets to key decision-makers in real time. The comprehensive system includes the unmanned aircraft, a sensor suite, integrated ground control station, launching catapult, and all necessary operations, engineering, maintenance and logistics support.

MTC's commercial version of its SpyHawk UAS offers civic and industrial customers a cost-effective monitoring system that can be used for a variety of applications including oil and gas pipeline surveillance; utility transmission line surveillance; power plant and nuclear facility security; railway line monitoring; agriculture and forestry monitoring; academic and scientific research; and first responder support. These commercial applications are the result of increased realization by commercial, civil and industrial customers of the need for a monitoring system that not only is affordable, but easy to use.

"Our SpyHawk UAS solution fits their budgets, can be tailored to their requirements, and can provide them with valuable data around the clock," Mr. Brown said.

Visitors to MTC's booth at the Paris Air Show -- which will be held at Le Bourget Airport north of Paris -- will learn more about the company's comprehensive UAS solutions, as well as its professional services; C4ISR; modernization & sustainment; and logistics solutions. MTC's booth will be located in the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Pavilion.

MTC delivers Warfighter solutions involving systems engineering, information technology, intelligence, and program management services primarily to the Department of Defense. Cited by Forbes as 16th of the "25 Fastest Growing Technology Companies-2006," by Washington Technology as 34th in revenue growth among the "Top 100" of IT Federal Prime Contractors, and ranked 2nd by Aviation Week & Space Technology as the "Top Performing Small Company," MTC employs approximately 3,000 people in more than 40 locations. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio.
